Many different volunteer opportunities are available:
Set up and Tear Down Posse (7 people): Do you have the strength to move stuff around. Can you dedicate a little time to helping set up or tear down at an event? Do you like pizza? Then this job is for you. Green Iowa needs volunteers to help set up or tear down for the sustainability fair.
Recycling and Compost Police (dependent on the number of recycling and compost cans) 15 people: Do you love to boss people around? Do you care about recycling and composting? You can be a trash-talker. In many events, someone needs to tell people what goes in trash and what does not. That could be you! At the Sustainability Fair you can get a free slice of pizza.
Prize Giver (2-3 people): Do you have a goal of handing out a prize to a kid? Are you good at making sure everyone has the opportunity to get a prize? Do you love kids? This opportunity will give you a chance to do all three. You will also get a free slice of pizza.
Games Supervisor (7-8 people): Do you enjoy games? Have you done any programs with kids before? Then this is the volunteer opportunity for you. You will be supervising various kids games for our Summer Sustainability Fair. Also you will get to taste our delicious garden fresh pizza.
Jack-of-all trades (2 people): Do you enjoy running around and doing a variety of things? Do you have a car? We need an ice transporter and people to be willing to fill in when needed. You will also get a free pizza for lunch.
Pizza Maker (3 people): Do you enjoy food? Do you feel a sense of accomplishment when you make a beautiful food creation? You can help make pizza at the Sustainability Fair. You will also get to have a slice of the pizza you made.
Collector of Money (1 person): Are you good at math? Do you like to dazzle people with your skills at handling money? This job is for you. We need someone to be in charge of taking pizza orders and money during our Summer Sustainability Fair. Every volunteer gets a slice of pizza.
Runner (3 people): Do you enjoy moving around to different volunteer positions? Then this job is for you. We need people willing to fill in where needed and give people a break? You will be able to eat delicious pizza and help out at the same time.
Greeter (4 people): Do you love meeting new people? You can be a greeter at the Summer Sustainability Fair. We require people to hand out brochures of the fair. You will also be able to have our delicious pizza.
