We're looking for newsletter contributors who would like to write articles, edit content and/or help with graphic design. Contributors choose article topics of their interests and work with a fun, welcoming and collaborative newsletter team. Contributors should be members of the Platteville community, trail users or a member of our other volunteer teams. Hours are flexible and on your schedule, while meeting team deadlines. Our committee system carries out tasks and helps make decisions and is comprised of the following 5 committees: Activities Committee: plans and carries out recreational and educational events in the PCA Ecology Committee: helps determine and accomplish the environmental and conservation goals of the PCA Finance Committee: plans and carries out fundraising events, coordinates solicitation mailings, seeks out grant funding opportunities Marketing & Membership Committee: promotes the PCA, recruits and retains members, provides educational materials to trail users, facilitates communication with volunteers, members, donors and the general public Planning Committee: determines annual and long-term priorities for the PCA and how to achieve them Most committees meet about once a month during evening hours. Virtual meeting attendance can be accommodated. The first step to volunteering with us is to fill out our Volunteer Interest Form.
