- set up meal: may include arranging utensils and beverages, making salads, slicing desserts or casseroles
- serve meal: stand at a station at the buffet line, welcome guests and offer them food. Place on their tray if they desire.
- clean up: may include sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, wiping tables
