The USS LST 325 is the last remaining operational LST in the United States from World War II. This will be the ships first time in Dubuque and its northern most stop on the Mississippi River. Early expectations are to see 2,000 + people per day touring the ship. Admission to tour the ship is $10 per person (World War II veterans are free) and all proceeds go to the USS LST 325.
The ship spans 325 feet long and will be docked next to the Mississippi River Walk in the Port of Dubuque August 23-27, 2018.
Volunteer needs include golf cart transportation, welcome tent assistance, traffic directions and assistance with individuals in line to board and exit the ship. Shifts are 2 hours in length and start at 10:00 a.m. and end at 7 p.m. each day.
