Volunteer Purpose
To assist Life Enrichment Staff by transporting residents to/from activities and with assigned tasks. By volunteering in this role, you will enable the resident to enjoy a variety of leisure activities that improve their overall wellness.
Responsibilities
- Transport assigned residents to/from activity, following wheelchair guidelines.
- If resident is not in a wheelchair, and needs assistance, ask a staff person to transfer resident.
- Notify Health Unit Coordinator at station if transporting resident off floor.
- Assist and participate in activity as assigned by Life Enrichment staff.
Qualifications/Skills/Requirements
- Must follow infection control procedures.
- Strength to propel wheelchairs.
- Ability to provide positive customer service.
- Mobility necessary to participate in moderately active games.
Time Commitment & Availability
- Approximately 2 hours shifts.
