Maintenance volunteer
Requirements:
If you would like to volunteer in our facilities department you need to be at least 18 years old or be accompanied by an adult. Any persons interested in volunteering in the facilities department will be required to sign a liability waiver. We have long term and short term volunteer opportunities.
What to expect:
We have a lot of different tasks and projects and they vary from season to season. Tasks that we might need help with are:
- Working with power tools if necessary (after an orientation and training)
- Indoor and outdoor work depending on the weather
- Helping our Nature Director (cleaning cages, cleaning barn)
- Cleaning buildings around camp (cabins, gym, etc)
- Building projects
- Cleaning around the camp
- Painting and/or staining
- Power washing
- Splitting firewood
- Wrapping Christmas presents
- Helping with garage sale
- Donation pick ups
- Remove invasive species in the woods
- and other projects as they come up
- mowing grass around camp
- in the winter shoveling snow
