The Platteville Community Arboretum is run by volunteers. Our committee system carries out tasks and helps make decisions and is comprised of the following 5 committees:
-
Activities Committee: plans and carries out recreational and educational events in the PCA
-
Ecology Committee: helps determine and accomplish the environmental and conservation goals of the PCA
-
Finance Committee: plans and carries out fundraising events, coordinates solicitation mailings, seeks out grant funding opportunities
-
Marketing & Membership Committee: promotes the PCA, recruits and retains members, provides educational materials to trail users, facilitates communication with volunteers, members, donors and the general public
-
Planning Committee: determines annual and long-term priorities for the PCA and how to achieve them
Most committees meet about once a month during evening hours. Virtual meeting attendance can be accommodated. The first step to volunteering with us is to fill out our Volunteer Interest Form.
