The purpose of the commission is to foster the community planning process, develop policies, goals, plans, and management tools, and help guide the community's future development, public policies, and decision making. One way the Commission accomplishes these tasks is by supervising the preparation and maintenance of the City’s Comprehensive Plan, a policy guide for the community’s physical, social, and economic development.
