As a nonprofit organization, Opening Doors relies on community grants and donations in order to open our doors for women and children experiencing homelessness. For 25+ years, Opening Doors has served the Dubuque community and formed wonderful partnerships that have allowed us to continue operations! Attitude of Gratitude is our annual fall gala which brings in a large portion of our yearly funding. The evening features a live and silent auction, dinner, and client testimonials! Please consider joining the Opening Doors Volunteer team to fill one of the various positions and help make this event a success!
Auction Spotter: Help keep the auction running smoothly! As a spotter, your job is to watch the crowd and quickly signal the auctioneer when someone raises their bid number. You’ll help make sure no bid is missed and that the energy of the auction stays lively. This role is perfect for someone who’s alert, enjoys engaging with people, and can pay close attention during the bidding.
