As a nonprofit organization, Opening Doors relies on community grants and donations in order to open our doors for women and children experiencing homelessness. For 25+ years, Opening Doors has served the Dubuque community and formed wonderful partnerships that have allowed us to continue operations! Attitude of Gratitude is our annual fall gala which brings in a large portion of our yearly funding. The evening features a live and silent auction, dinner, and client testimonials! Please consider joining the Opening Doors Volunteer team to fill one of the various positions and help make this event a success!
Silent Auction Assistant: End of the night silent auction volunteers will be responsible to collecting, sorting, and tallying auction items after the bidding has closed. While dinner is in session, volunteers will prepare items for payment and pick up. Volunteers will remain in the auction area to hand out auction items after guests have paid for them.
