As a nonprofit organization, Opening Doors relies on community grants and donations in order to open our doors for women and children experiencing homelessness. For 25+ years, Opening Doors has served the Dubuque community and formed wonderful partnerships that have allowed us to continue operations! Attitude of Gratitude is our annual fall gala which brings in a large portion of our yearly funding. The evening features a live and silent auction, dinner, and client testimonials! Please consider joining the Opening Doors Volunteer team to fill one of the various positions and help make this event a success!
Silent Auction Assistant: Volunteers will be present in the silent auction room to offer assistance to guests as they roam. You will be responsible for helping with any silent auction needs and answering guest questions on the auction floor. When dinner is in session and the silent auction has closed, volunteers will assist in collecting and sorting materials.
